PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image pickup apparatus which can perform reliable offset correction.SOLUTION: A previous dark image acquisition section 43 captures a first previous dark image for each accumulation time by allowing an electric charge to be accumulated by at least one or more different accumulation times in a sensor 4 in a state in which X-rays are not irradiated. An X-ray image pickup section 41 irradiates X-rays for the purpose of capturing an X-ray image, selects accumulation time corresponding to X-ray irradiation time among the accumulation times, and sets the accumulation time of the electric charge in the sensor 4 when capturing the X-ray image to the selected accumulation time. The X-ray image pickup section 41 captures an X-ray image by accumulating the electric charge in the sensor 4 by the set accumulation time.
