The invention provides a milking device provided with a plurality of milking cups (2-1 to 2-4) provided with a teat chamber (5) and a pulsation chamber (6), a control device (7), a vacuum device (8), a pulsation device, having for each milking cup a first pressure connection (9) from the pulsation chamber to the vacuum device, and a second pressure connection (11) from the pulsation chamber to a source for a higher second pressure (10), and a pressure-determining device (15) for determining a pressure in the pulsation chambers, which pressure-determining device comprises a pressure sensor (16), as well as a pressure connection system, between said pulsation chamber and the pressure sensor, wherein the control device is configured to control the pulsation device on the basis of the determined pressure, wherein the pressure connection system comprises a plurality of pressure-measuring connections (18), each connected between the pulsation chamber of one of the plurality of milking cups and the pressure sensor, and wherein a controllable sensor valve system (19) is provided in the pressure connection system, for opening and shutting off the pressure-measuring connections, such that respectively no more than one pressure-measuring connection is open.
