PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system capable of acquiring an image with high spatial resolution independently of effective TE in an asymmetric measurement using an FSE sequence.
SOLUTION: The MRI system includes: a measurement control means for asymmetrically measuring an echo signal group, which is arranged in a k-space, in the k space by using a pulse sequence where TE is different from the effective TE and a signal processing means for reconstituting the image through the use of the asymmetrically measured echo signal group in the k-space. The measurement control means sets the pulse sequence, thereby allowing the echo signal group to be asymmetrically measured to be shifted in the k-space in accordance with the effective TE. The measurement control means measures echo signals corresponding to a k-space non-measurement area which is generated by shifting. The signal processing means reconstitutes the image by including the echo signals corresponding to the k-space non-measurement area.
