A control system (106) for agricultural equipment is disclosed, the agricultural equipment including an accumulator (22) coupled to a baler (18) configured to support a crop package exiting the baler (18). The control system (106) comprising: a gate (30) coupled to the baler (18) and rotatable between a closed position and an open position; a crop package transfer system (39) configured to move the crop package onto the accumulator (22) when the crop package is in a first position between the baler (18) and the accumulator (22); a hydraulic control system (110) having a hydraulic actuator (38) operable to move the gate (30) from the closed position to the open position; and an electrical control system (138) coupled to the hydraulic control system (110), the electrical control system (138) configured to control movement of the gate (30) in response to the gate (30) being in a partially open position, the electrical control system (138) also configured to control movement of the gate (30) from the partially op
