The present invention relates to a walking assist device which can be used even in stairs as well as a flat ground by the elderly or the handicapped. To this end, the walking assist device comprises: a pair of frames which support the ground and comprise a front part, a back part and an upper end part； an upper end connection bar which is placed between an upper portion of the front parts of the pair of frames, and is coupled to and fixed on the upper portion of the front parts of the pair of frames to connect the pair of frames to each other； a lower end connection bar which is placed between a lower portion of the front parts of the pair of frames, and is coupled to and fixed on the lower portion of the front parts of the pair of frames to connect the pair of frames to each other； and a horizontal moving part which is coupled to the lower end connection bar and has a regular angle from the front parts of the pair of frames.
