A feeding apparatus 10 for feeding suckling livestock such as calves, comprising a finger-receiving tube 15 and feeding tube 18. The feeding tube comprises an inlet 20 and an outlet 22. The apparatus is designed to simulate a real teat or nipple. The finger-receiving tube can be presented to a calf, which can begin suckling on it. The user may then be able to lead or guide the calf towards a feeding bucket 44 with the calf "latched onto" the finger-receiving tube of the feeding apparatus. The apparatus may be provided with a feed delivery tube 40 that connects to the inlet of the apparatus. The inlet may comprise a quick release connector. The feed delivery tube may be provided with a filter 52, a weight, a magnet (56 figure 7) and/or a suction cup (58 figure 7).
