PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for gathering or attracting fish which is very effective in gathering or attracting targeted fish, but which has the least adverse impact on the environment.SOLUTION: A material for gathering or attracting fish contains a nucleus material which is a fish-derived basic ingredient that is fermented or decomposed. At least one of a diffusion inhibitor which suppresses the underwater diffusion of the nucleus material, a predation inhibitor which suppresses the predation of fish other than targeted fish, and any other composites may also be included in the nucleus material. A material containing the intestines of fish as a primary constituent can be used as a basic ingredient, and the basic ingredient should be fermented by their self-digestive enzyme or a microorganism.【課題】 目標とする魚に対してきわめて高い集魚・誘引効果を発揮するとともに環境に対する負荷も小さい集魚・誘引材を提供する。【解決手段】 魚介類由来の原料を発酵又は分解させたものを核材とする集魚・誘引材とした。前記核材に水中での拡散を抑制する拡散抑制剤、目標とする魚以外の魚の捕食を抑制する捕食抑制剤及びその他の複合材のうちの少なくとも一つを加えてもよい。原料としては魚腸を主成分とするものを用いることができ、前記原料を自己消化酵素または微生物により発酵させるとよい。【選択図】 図２
