PURPOSE: An antibacterial material which is able to be mixed with paint is provided to ensure persistent antibacterial activity and to enhance surface activity of antibacterial ingredients. CONSTITUTION: An antibacterial material is denoted by chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, R1 is alkyl group of 3-12 carbon atoms. A method for manufacturing the antibacterial material comprises: a step of reacting isocyanuric acid and alkaline compounds to prepare isocyanurate； a step of reacting the isocyanurate and halogen alkyl to prepare alkyl isocyanuric acid compounds； and a step of reacting the alkyl isocyanuric acid compounds with NaOCl solution. The alkaline compounds are lithium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide, or potassium hydroxide.본 발명은 페인트에 혼합 가능한 항균물질에 관한 것으로서, N-Cl기를 포함한 이소시아누르산에 알킬기를 도입한 다이클로로알킬 이소시아누르산은 표면 활성을 향상시켜주는 알킬기와 항균성을 가지는 염소기로 인하여 항균력의 지속성이 우수하고, 안료와 혼합시에 항균 성분의 표면 활성을 높여 우수한 항균력을 가지며, 유기 용매 등에 잘 혼합될 수 있어 향상된 가공성을 갖는다.
