The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for supporting design of a facility for particle radiotherapy, wherein the layout of a plurality of therapy rooms is contrived, and a method for constructing a facility for particle radiotherapy.The method according to the present invention for supporting design of a facility for particle radiotherapy comprises: a local concave region calculation procedure for calculating the volume of a local concave region or the projected area of the local concave region, said local concave region being a concave region between two therapy room models arranged closest among a plurality of therapy room models arranged in a model space corresponding to a space in which the therapy rooms are to be arranged; a concave region calculation result-display procedure for displaying, on a display of a design support device, the volume or projected area of the local concave region having been calculated by the local concave region calculation procedure; and a therapy room model-moving procedure for moving the therapy room models in the model space in accordance with a therapy room model-moving command, in the case where no work termination command is output after the completion of the concave region calculation result-display procedure.
