The present invention relates to a device (100) for studying the capacity of at least one mouse to orientate itself, said device comprising a plurality of houses (111-115) that are distributed around a central agora (150) and in which stimulation means (121-125) allow the at least one mouse to carry out certain activities and/or to satisfy certain primary needs. Each house (111-115) further comprises at least one sensor (131-132) for measuring the activity of the mouse in said house (111-115), and more particularly the use by the mouse of the stimulation means (121-125). Finally, a sensor (210) is used to detect and measure the movements of each mouse in the device (100). Qualitative parameters from said measurements can thus be used to determine the quality of the geographic memory of the at least one mouse.
