An ultrasonic image apparatus and a method therefor are disclosed. The ultrasound diagnostic imaging apparatus comprises a pulse generator, transducer, multiplexer (MUX) and dummy MUX. The pulse generator is configured to generate a pulse of an electric signal. The transducer is configured to convert the pulse of the electric signal generated by the pulse generator into an ultrasonic wave signal and transmit the ultrasonic wave signal to an object. The MUX is configured to select one or more channels corresponding to at least one element of the transducer, and to perform a switching operation between different applied voltages. The dummy MUX is configured to apply, to an output end of the MUX, a reverse signal of an output signal of the MUX by performing an inverse switching operation which is opposite to the switching operation by the MUX when the MUX performs the switching operation between the different applied voltages.
