A mounting track system (20) for mounting equipment at various locations along a length of a mounting track (170), the mounting track system (20) comprising a first vertical plurality of securement slots (174), wherein each securement slot (174) comprises an enlarged head portion (180) adjacent a necked-down region (182), such that an enlarged head (114) of a mounting projection (110) of a mounting bracket (44) may pass through the enlarged head portion (180) to allow a stem (112) connected to the enlarged head (114) to slide down the necked-down region (182) such that the enlarged head (114) cannot be removed through the necked-down region (182); and a second vertical plurality of securement slots (178) in parallel with the first vertical plurality of securement slots (174), where each of the second vertical plurality of securement slots (178) are horizontally aligned with the first vertical plurality of securement slots (174) such that the first vertical plurality of securement slots (174) and the second vertical plurality of securement slots (178) can simultaneously receive a pair of horizontally aligned mounting projections (110) of a mounting bracket (44).
