The present invention relates to the use of methotrexate in increasing the endogenous levels of bioactive B6-pyridoxal phosphate. According to the present invention, methotrexate may be used as a B6 activator for patients accepting the treatment of anti-inflammatory agents or immunosuppressive agents.
