This invention relates to methods and compositions for the treatment of leukemia with inv chromosome inversion (16) and, in particular, to the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia. A method for the treatment of leukemia with inv (16) is described, comprising the step of administering to a subject in need of a therapeutically effective combination of a) a compound of formula (1) and b) a chemotherapeutic agent selected from the group consisting of pyrarubicin, aclarubicin, mitoxantrone, doxorubicin, daunorubicin, idarubicin, epirubicin, cytarabine, their pharmaceutically acceptable salts and mixtures thereof. A therapeutically effective combination synergistically inhibits the proliferation of leukemia cells with inv (16). This invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising a therapeutically effective combination of a compound of formula (1) and a chemotherapeutic agent and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient.Это изобретение относится к способам и композициям для лечения лейкоза с инверсией хромосомы inv(16) и, в частности, к лечению острого миелоидного лейкоза.
