PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic having excellent conditioning properties in applying to hair and proper hair-style keeping properties, effective for suppressing the dry feeling and loosening of dried hair and keeping a collected state of hair.SOLUTION: The hair cosmetic includes (A) a quaternary ammonium salt-type cationic surfactant, (B) a straight-chain silicone comprising a polysiloxane-polyoxyalkylene block copolymer expressed by formula (1), (C) a propylene oxide polymer expressed by formula (2), (D) a polyoxyethylene jojoba fatty acid ester and (E) water. In formula (1), R1 and R2 are each a univalent hydrocarbon group a is an integer of &ge5 b is an integer of &ge4 c is an integer of &ge5 n is an integer of &ge2 and the compound may contain two or more polyoxyalkylene groups having different n values.
