The present invention relates to an agricultural machine having a collecting device for collecting harvested material from the ground, wherein the collecting device has a collecting drum with rotatingly driveable spikes, wherein the collecting drum is mounted transverse to the direction of travel so that it can be inclined with respect to a machine frame. In accordance with the invention, the collecting drum is supported with a middle portion of the drum by a pivot joint in such a way that drum portions of the collecting drum lying to the right and left of the pivot joint as seen in the direction of travel pivot up and down in opposition to one another during transverse inclination movements of the collecting drum about the pivot joint. In order to achieve a specific transverse inclination angle not just one lateral edge portion of the collecting drum is now lowered or raised but one lateral edge portion is lowered and the other lateral edge portion is raised. <；Figure 1>；
