The good phase is led away via a first outlet (8), and the reject phase is led away via a second outlet (9). In case of said refiner (1), a moisture measurement is performed for the mushy reject phase, near the separation apparatus (5) in respect of process, by means of a moisture-measuring sensor (10) arranged in the outlet region for the mushy waste phase or reject phase (9), the measured moisture content being used for process monitoring and process control.
