According to the invention, the gripper comprises: - a head (2) for gripping / impactioning of the implant (1), including: - an engagement part (6) intended to be engaged in the cavity (9) delimited by the implant (1) and to come, in an engagement position in this cavity, in the immediate vicinity of the wall of the implant (1)； this engagement portion (6) comprises a seal (11) sealingly applied against said wall but adapted, when the assembly is placed under vacuum, to let air escape between the implant ( 1) and the engagement portion (6)； and a proximal portion (7) of triangular shape, dimensioned so that these lateral faces are inscribed inside the edge of the implant (1)； and - said handle (3) manipulation / impaction. The method comprises a step of assembling the implant (1) and the head (2) by depression of the space between the implant (1) and the head. Selon l'invention, le préhenseur comprend : - une tête (2) de préhension/impaction de l'implant (1), incluant : - une partie d'engagement (6) destinée à être engagée dans la cavité (9) délimitée par l'implant (1) et à venir, dans une position d'engagement dans cette cavité, à proximité immédiate de la paroi de l'implant (1) ； cette partie d'engagement (6) comporte un joint d'étanchéité (11) venant en application étanche contre ladite paroi mais apte, lorsque l'ensemble est placé en dépression, à laisser s'échapper l'air situé entre l'implant (1) et la partie d'engagement (6) ； et une partie proximale (7) de forme triangulaire, dimensionnée de façon à ce que ces faces latérales soient inscrites à l'intérieur du bord de l'implant (1) ； et - ledit manche (3) de manipulation/impaction. Le procédé comprend une étape consistant à assembler l'implant (1) et la tête (2) par mise en dépression de l'espace existant entre cet implant (1) et cette tête.
