Es wird eine antiseptische Zusammensetzung zur Verwendung als Knochenzement, insbesondere ein antiseptischer Polymethylmethacrylat-Knochenzement vorgeschlagen. Die Zusammensatzung ist härtbar und weist ein pharmakologisch verträgliches Salz einer Monoperoxydicarbonsäure auf, wobei das Salz der Monoperoxydicarbonsäure in Gegenwart von Wasser aus der Zusammensetzung herauslösbar ist. Vorzugsweise wird das Salz der Monoperoxydicarbonsäure in der Zusammensetzung als Pulver eingesetzt, wobei das Pulver eine mittlere Partikelgröße von nicht mehr als 250 µm aufweist. Vorzugsweise wird das Salz der Monoperoxydicarbonsäure in wässriger Lösung bei Raumtemperatur innerhalb von 5 min nicht durch das Enzym Katalase zersetzt.An antiseptic composition for use as a bone cement, in particular an antiseptic polymethyl methacrylate bone cement, is proposed. Preferably, the salt of the monoperoxydicarboxylic acid in aqueous solution at room temperature is not decomposed by the enzyme catalase within 5 minutes.
