PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus for obtaining a high-quality ultrasonic image, with a plurality of diagnostic apparatuses operating in parallel.SOLUTION: First and second diagnostic apparatus units perform probe recognition on the basis of an identification number of a connected connector (S1 and S3). The first diagnostic apparatus unit having recognized to perform parallel operation as a master apparatus body, and the second diagnostic apparatus unit having recognized to perform parallel operation as a slave apparatus body, each prepare for the parallel operation (S2 and S4). After making a slave operation reply to an inquiry (S5) about a slave operation from the second diagnostic apparatus unit (S6), the first diagnostic apparatus unit 1 starts parallel operation (S8).
