The present invention provides a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus for scanning an object. The magnetic resonance imaging apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a scanner for forming a plurality of radio frequencies (RFs) and gradient magnetic fields inside a bore in which an object is located, and receiving an echo signal from the object； and a controller for controlling the scanner according to a pulse sequence, wherein the controller applies at least one RF pulse and a spatial encoding gradient pulse to the object through the scanner, applies a plurality of readout gradient pulses and a plurality of blip pulses for acquiring the plurality of echo signals emitted from the object to the object through the scanner, sequentially acquires a plurality of echo signals including different spatial information according to the plurality of blip pulses, and maps the plurality of the echo signals to a plurality of k-spaces, respectively, based on the different spatial information. Thus, the scanning time can be reduced.본 발명은 대상체를 스캔하는 자기 공명 영상 장치를 개시한다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 자기 공명 영상 장치는 대상체가 위치하는 보어(bore) 내부에 복수의 RF(radio frequency) 및 경사자장(gradient)을 형성하고, 대상체로부터 에코 신호(echo signal)를 수신하는 스캐너； 및 펄스 시퀀스에 따라 스캐너를 제어하는 제어부；를 포함하며, 제어부는 적어도 하나의 RF 펄스 및, 공간 부호화 경사펄스를 스캐너를 통해 대상체에 적용하고, 대상체로부터 방출되는 복수의 에코 신호를 획득하기 위한 복수의 리드아웃(readout) 경사펄스 및 복수의 블립펄스(blip pulse)를 스캐너를 통해 대상체에 적용하며, 복수의 블립펄스에 따라 서로 다른 공간 정보를 포함하는 복수의 에코 신호들을 순차적으로 획득하며, 서로 다른 공간 정보를 기초로, 복수의 에코 신호들 각각을 복수의 k-공간 각각에 매핑한다.
