This invention, Smart Pet Box (SPB) aims to allow a pet owner to take care of a pet as he/she is far from home. It shows the status of food container and the thermal environment of the box. Also, it displays the image of the pet remotely. The SPB uses an embedded system such as an Arduino or a Raspberry Pi to remotely control other connected mechanism. The SPB consists of the automatic feeding system, the automatic cleaning system, a camera, a thermal couple, a fan and a light bulb. By using the technology of Internet of Things (IoT), thermal control, feeding the pet, cleaning, and real-time image transmission can be implemented in the mobile device or the computer.This smart pet box can be applied to a variety of pets such as a cat, a dog, a rabbit, fish and so on. The pet owner can use a mobile device such as a mobile phone or a computer to remotely control a food container and a toilet system so the owner can feed the pet and clean the SPB for the pet. Also, the thermal couple connected the embedded system in the box can provide the current temperature in SPB. The pet owner can use the mobile device or the computer to turn on/off a fan or a light bulb so the temperature in the SPB can be adjusted.
