PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crop stalk cutting machine capable of preventing change in the vertical position of a stalk cutting blade whose cutting position is determined by the resistance generated in cutting crops or the vibration of a machine body, and capable of uniforming the cutting height, and capable of preventing damage to targets for harvesting such as leaves.SOLUTION: The crop stalk cutting machine includes a holding conveyor 5 in a travelling machine body 3 for holding stalks T of planted crops and conveying the held stalks to the rear, and the stalk cutting blade 58 in the travelling machine body 3 for cutting the stalks T of the crops held by the holding conveyor. The position in the vertical direction of the stalk cutting blade 58 relative to the travelling machine body 3 is adjustable. The stalk cutting blade 58 is fixed to the lower end of a stalk cutting blade driving shaft 54, and the stalk cutting blade driving shaft 54 is journaled by a shaft supporting inner cylinder 55. The shaft supporting inner cylinder 55 is fitted into an shaft supporting outer cylinder 56 fixed to the travelling machine body 3 in such a way as slidable in the vertical direction.
