PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for estimating a pulsation position and controlling the position of a pulsation sensor are provided to accurately locate a pulsation sensor on a cun/guan/chi pulsation position in order to measure pulse waves based on the Oriental medicine. CONSTITUTION: A landmarker shape acquisition unit (110) obtains the shape of a landmarker which is adhered to a pulsation position. A pulsating location estimate part (120) estimates the pulsation position based on the shape of the obtained landmarker. A pulsating location estimate part estimates a central area between two landmarkers as the pulsation position. A laser pointer location acquirement part (130) obtains the position of a laser pointer. A pulse sensor position controller (140) controls the position of a pulse sensor based on the obtained pulsation position and the obtained position of the laser pointer.
