The present invention relates to a medical device capable of reducing escape of a cut member when an expanding and contracting member is expanded and contracted in a radial direction； and being difficult to inhibit movement of expanding and contracting of the expanding and contracting member due to the cut member. In the medical device (1), a front end (11) of the expanding and contracting member (10), and a front end (21) of the cut member (20) are fixed in a front tip (40). The cut member (20) can be moved to an optimal position without escape from the expanding and contracting member (10) depending on the expanding and the contracting of the expanding and contracting member (10) with the core wire (30) inserted into the hollow unit (22).
