The invention relates to a system (10) for the combined vacuum treatment and instillation treatment of wounds on a human or animal body, the system (10) comprising a vacuum unit (14) having a first housing (12), a pump arranged in said first housing for providing vacuum, and a fluid-accommodating tank (15) for accommodating bodily fluids (15a), in particular wound secretions vacuumed off of a wound, wherein the fluid-accommodating tank (15) can be detachably fastened to the first housing (12), and comprising an instillation unit (18) having a second housing (17), said second housing having a peristaltic pump (82) arranged therein and having a line feedthrough region (74) for at least one incoming line (32, 38) and at least one outgoing line segment (25), the system being characterized in that the first housing (12) and the second housing (17) are housings that are separate from one another and that the vacuum unit (14) or the instillation unit (18) comprises a control unit (16) for operating the system (10), which control unit is designed to control both the operation of the vacuum unit (14) and the operation of the instillation unit (18).
