The present invention relates to methods and pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of an ocular disease in a subject. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method for treating an ocular disease in a subj ect comprising the steps consisting of i) delivering a pharmaceutical composition formulated with echo-contrast agent microbubbles and a therapeutic nucleic acid of interest into the ciliary muscle of the subject and ii) exposing the region where the pharmaceutical composition was delivered to ultrasound to induce transfection of said therapeutic nucleic acid of interest into said ciliary muscle.La présente invention concerne des procédés et des compositions pharmaceutiques destinés au traitement dune maladie oculaire chez un sujet. Linvention concerne plus particulièrement un procédé de traitement dune maladie oculaire chez un sujet comprenant les étapes consistant à : i) administrer, dans le muscle ciliaire du sujet à traiter, une composition pharmaceutique dont la formulation comprend des microbulles dagent décho-contraste ainsi quun acide nucléique thérapeutique dintérêt et ii) exposer à des ultrasons la région où a été administrée ladite composition pharmaceutique, afin dinduire la transfection dudit acide nucléique thérapeutique dintérêt dans le muscle ciliaire.
