PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide absorbent resin particles which have a high absorption capacity under load and absorb a liquid at a high absorption speed under load, and to provide an absorbent article whose surface has high dry feeling.
SOLUTION: The absorbent resin particles (D) include a crosslinked polymer (A1) comprising, as essential constitutive units, a water-soluble vinyl monomer (a1) and/or a hydrolyzable vinyl monomer (a2) and an internal crosslinking agent (b), and composite particles (C), obtained by applying a hydrophilic substance (B) on a portion or the whole of the surface of each crosslinked polymer (A2) particle comprising, as essential constitutive units, a water-soluble vinyl monomer (a1) and/or a hydrolyzable vinyl monomer (a2) and an internal crosslinking agent (b) or by impregnating the crosslinked polymer (A2) particle with the hydrophilic substance (B). The absorbent resin particles are characterized by having such a structure that a portion or the whole of the composite particle (C) is included in the absorbent resin particle (D).
