The present invention relates to a device for capturing harmful insects, which kills harmful insects by using electricity. The device for capturing harmful insects comprises: a cylindrical main body which has an open upper part and an open lower part； a leg unit which is connected to the lower part of the main body to support the main body in an upright position； a light source assembly which is formed in the shape of a thin cylinder and joined to the center of the upper part of the main body in a longitudinal direction, includes a light source formed on an external surface thereof, and is configured to cause the light source to emit light by a power source； a lightning rod which is joined to an upper part of the light source assembly； a cover unit which is joined between the light source assembly and the lightning rod and extends downwardly； a plurality of electric plates which are connected to the light source assembly in a longitudinal direction to receive electricity from the light source assembly for exterminating harmful insects； and a mesh which is separably joined to the lower part of the main body to collect the killed harmful insects. In particular, a light source connection unit connected to the main body through a connection bar for connecting the light source assembly is formed on the center of the upper part of the main body, and the harmful insects killed by electricity supplied to the electric plates fall downwardly to be collected by the mesh.
