PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient balloon catheter which can selectively perform expansion of a narrow section present in a path reaching a part to be treated and expansion of a balloon at the part to be treated.SOLUTION: A balloon catheter 100 has: a long shaft 130 which is extended in an axial direction and has flexibility a first balloon 110 which is fitted to a shaft and expandable and shrinkable a second balloon 120 which is arranged nearer a tip side of the shaft than the first balloon, and is expandable and shrinkable and a long guide member 160 of which tip part 161a is connected to the second balloon, which is inserted into the shaft in such a way that it can move forward and backward in the axial direction, and which has a smaller-diameter than the shaft.
