PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new crystallization method for efficiently producing a bicalutamide crystal which is adequate as an active pharmaceutical ingredient and to provide the bicalutamide crystal having adequate particle size distribution and specific surface area as an active pharmaceutical ingredient, namely the bicalutamide crystal in which the shape is specified by simply pulverizing the bicalutamide crystal obtained in the crystallization method and to provide a method for crystallizing bicalutamide, being economical and excellent in stability of quality and industrially practical.SOLUTION: The invention provides a method for crystallizing bicalutamide which comprises adding an acetone solution containing bicalutamide to water and provides a bicalutade crystal, in which particle size distribution is represented by the formulas: Dp10=1-10 &mum, Dp50=10-25 &mum and Dp90=25-100 &mum, which can be obtained by the crystallization method and the bicalutade crystal in which particle size distribution is represented by the formulas: Dp10=1-3 &mum, Dp50=2-5 &mum and Dp90=5-15 &mum.COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI【課題】 医薬原体として適切なビカルタミド結晶を効率的に製造するための新規な晶析方法を提供し、該晶析方法で得られたビカルタミド結晶を簡便に粉砕することにより、医薬原体として適切な粒度分布や比表面積を有するビカルタミド結晶を提供すること、すなわち形態を規定したビカルタミド結晶の提供、ならびに経済的であるとともに品質の安定性に優れ、かつ工業的に実用可能なビカルタミドの晶析方法の提供。【解決手段】 本発明は、ビカルタミドを含むアセトン溶液を、水に添加することを包含するビカルタミドの晶析方法を提供し、粒度分布がDp10=1~10μm、Dp50=10~25μm及びDp90=25~100μmであり、且つ前記晶析方法により得られうるビカルタミドの結晶を提供し、また、粒度分布がDp10=1~3μm、Dp50=2~5μm及びDp90=5~15μmであるビカルタミドの結晶を提供する。【選択図】 なし
