The present invention provides a compound with which a flowable organic substance is thickened to a desired viscosity or is made to gel or with which a composition containing a flowable organic substance is evenly stabilized. The compound of the present invention is represented by formula (1). In formula (1), R1 represents a C4 or higher monovalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group, R2 represents a C1-12 divalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group, R3 represents a C1-12 monovalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group, m is an integer of 0-10, and n is an integer of 1-4.
