PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical electrode for conducting signals, in particular for conducting signals from the human skin, which is excellent in electrostatic properties and equipped with a high quality cover.SOLUTION: The medical electrode has a structure comprising at least two layers, a preferably metallic signal conductor 3 that can be connected to a signal-transducing subject being disposed between an upper coating 2 and an adhesive layer 14 which can be brought into contact with the signal-transducing subject, preferably in the form of a signal-conducting layer. The medical electrode further comprises a tapping bottle 5 and an electrically insulating covering element 6 which is arranged between the tapping bottle 5 and the signal-transducing subject.
