PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter for a drip chamber, having a structure restraining bubbles from residing on the surface of the filter for the drip chamber.
SOLUTION: A slit-like opening S11 is provided so that one end side S111 is located on the lower end side of a drum part below the other end side S112. As a result, the extending direction of the opening S11 is not orthogonal to the flowing direction (the extending direction of the central axis A1 of the drum part 10) of blood, so that bubbles are captured on the long sides S113, S114 of the opening S11, they are pushed to start flowing along the long sides S113, S114 of the opening S11 by the flow of blood. Thus the bubbles B can be accelerated to pass through the opening S11 by the flow of blood. As a result, the bubbles B can be restrained from residing on the long side of the opening S11.
