The object of the present invention is to provide a novel inflammasome inhibitor capable of inhibiting the activation of inflammasome. In view of the inhibition of the released amount of IL-1[beta] produced by the stimulation of ATP, palmitic acid, MSU and Poly (dA:dT) from arctigenin and the inhibition of the amount of caspase-1 activation, the inventors of the present invention have discovered for the first time that arctigenin has an effect of inhibiting the activation of inflammasome.
