PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate drying in the subsequent step by accumulating heat in a shelf board in a sterilization step to reduce the drying time.SOLUTION: A shelf 1 is arranged in a sterilization tank of a steam sterilizer or taken into and out of the sterilization tank, is composed of aluminum or an aluminum alloy or a magnesium alloy and includes a shelf plate 12 on which a to-be-sterilized object is mounted and a water reception plate 13 which is provided in the lower part of the shelf plate 12 and prevents falling of condensed water onto the object on another shelf plate 12 located thereunder from the shelf plate 12. The shelf plate 12 is preferably provided with an irregularity 17 in the lower surface so that the surface area of the upper surface is larger than that of the lower surface. The shelf plate 12 is preferably formed with an appropriate through hole 16 so that condensed water does not reside on the upper surface.【課題】滅菌工程において棚板に蓄熱することで、その後の乾燥工程における乾燥を促進し、乾燥時間の短縮を図る。【解決手段】蒸気滅菌器の滅菌槽内に設けられる棚１、または滅菌槽に出し入れされる棚１である。アルミニウムもしくはアルミニウム合金、またはマグネシウム合金を用いて構成され、被滅菌物が載せられる棚板１２と、この棚板１２の下部に設けられ、棚板１２からの凝縮水が下の棚板１２の被滅菌物に落下するのを防止する水受板１３とを備える。棚板１２は、上面より下面の表面積を大きくするように、下面に凹凸１７が形成されるのがよい。棚板１２は、上面に凝縮水が滞留しないように、適宜の貫通孔１６が形成されるのがよい。【選択図】図２
