There is provided a stable protein preparation containing at least one amino acid. In certain embodiments, a combination of amino acids is included which is at least two, or three, or four, or more amino acids. By including the amino acid, the formulation has low viscosity, and the protein in the formulation is physically, chemically and biologically stable at high concentrations.
