PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scan type medical probe suitable for evading the degradation (fluctuation) of the color reproducibility of a photographed image accompanying a bending operation.
SOLUTION: The scan type medical probe includes: an optical fiber for transmitting the light of a specified wavelength and emitting it from an emitting end a means for bending the specified part of the optical fiber a fiber Bragg grating formed at the specified part of the optical fiber, for reflecting a part of the light of the specified wavelength a means for vibrating the vicinity of the emitting end of the optical fiber so as to scan the light of the specified wavelength emitted from the emitting end on an object and a means for outputting reflected light from the scanned object to a predetermined detector. The fiber Bragg grating is formed such that the loss light quantity of the light of the specified wavelength corresponding to the bend of the specified part is compensated by the increase of a transmission light quantity by the rise of transmittance accompanying the bend of the fiber Bragg grating to the light of the specified wavelength.
