PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray imaging apparatus capable of highly accurately generating a long-sized X-ray image (long-sized image) of an interest site in a short time.SOLUTION: The X-ray imaging apparatus includes a long-sized image generation unit 16 for joining a plurality of X-ray images to obtain a long-sized image. The long-sized image generation unit 16 comprises: a removal unit 16a for removing the parts of the X-ray images overlapping with each other on the basis of the distance between an interest site of a subject in a position where a plurality of regions overlap with each other and an X-ray detector； and an interest site setting unit 16b for setting to the removal unit 16a a change in the distance of the interest site of the subject along the longer direction of the long-sized region.【課題】長尺の関心部位のＸ線画像（長尺画像）を短時間で、かつ精度よく生成することのできるＸ線撮影装置を提供する。【解決手段】複数のＸ線画像を接合して長尺画像を得る長尺画像生成部１６を有する。長尺画像生成部１６は、複数の領域が重なり合う位置において被検体の関心部位とＸ線検出器との距離に基づいてＸ線画像の重なり合う部分を除去する重なり除去部１６ａと、この重なり除去部１６ａに、長尺領域の長手方向に沿った被検体の関心部位の距離の変化を設定する関心部位設定部１６ｂと、を備える。【選択図】図１
