PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer machine which reduces an unpleasant feeling given to a person to be cared.SOLUTION: A transfer machine 1 includes: a supporting base 10； an arm part 11 connected to the supporting base 10 to hold a person to be cared； a driving part 12 for raising and lowering the arm part 11 to the supporting base 10； a transmission changing mechanism 13 which transmits a driving force from the driving part 12 to the arm part 11 when a downward external force is applied to the arm part 11, and the transmission changing mechanism 13 which does not transmit the driving force from the driving part 12 to the arm part 11 when an upward external force is applied； and a reaction force generation part 14 provided between the arm part 11 and the supporting base 10 apart from the driving part 12 to bear at least one part of self-weight of the arm part 11.
