The liquid-absorbing structure (3) contains front and rear edges (3a, 3b) extending in the lateral direction (X) perpendicular to the vertical direction (Y). The front edge (3a) is covered with a front waist sheet (4), while the rear edge (3b) is covered with a rear waist sheet (5). The front waist sheet (4) extends in the lateral direction (X) from one of the front side edges (9) to the other (9), while the rear waist sheet (5) extends in the lateral direction (X) from one of the rear side edges (10) to the other (10).
