The invention is a movement assistance device extending between a proximal portion, able to be held in the hand of a person, and a distal portion, able to come into contact with the ground. The device comprises a handle, arranged on the proximal portion thereof, said handle enclosing an alert module, capable of emitting an alert via a wireless connection when the user finds himself/herself in difficulty. The alert module has a one-piece structure, capable of being inserted in the distal portion. On activation thereof, the alert module is able to launch an alert, while possibly establishing a position of the user. The activation can be triggered manually by a switch or automatically using an actimetry circuit.L'invention est un dispositif d'aide au déplacement s'étendant entre une partie proximale, apte à être tenue par la main d'une personne et une partie distale, apte à entrer en contact avec le sol. Le dispositif comporte une poignée, ménagée au niveau de sa partie proximale, ladite poignée renfermant un module d'alerte, apte à émettre une alerte par une liaison sans fil lorsque l'utilisateur se trouve en difficulté. Le module d'alerte se présente sous une forme monobloc, apte à être inséré dans la partie distale. Sous l'effet de son actionnement, il est apte à lancer une alerte, en établissant éventuellement une position de l'utilisateur. L'actionnement peut être déclenché manuellement par un commutateur ou de façon automatique, à l'aide d'un circuit d'actimétrie.
