The present invention relates to a novel cross-linked copolymer, comprising an anionic monomer, a neutral monomer, a monomer containing a phosphorylcholine-like group, and a cross-linking agent, to an inverse emulsion of the copolymer, and to a cosmetic composition comprising the cross-linked copolymer or the inverse emulsion. The cross-linked copolymer according to the present invention comprises an anionic monomer such as 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane-sulphonic acid (AMPS), a neutral monomer, and a monomer containing a phosphorylcholine-like group, thus improving thickening properties and/or emulsion stability, and further achieving improved moisturizing properties and excellent biocompatibility.
