A fluid transfer device, or connector for a fluid transfer device, comprises a body member (10) and a disconnecting member (12) having a front portion and a rear portion. The disconnecting member (12) is mounted to the body member (10) so as to allow movement of its front portion relative to a fluid transfer tip (6), the fluid transfer tip (6) comprising a tapered friction fitting for a corresponding hub (14). There are provided engagement features (34) operating between the disconnecting member (12) and the body member (10) which engage with one another to inhibit the front portion of the disconnecting member (12) from moving relative to the fluid transfer tip (6). The device is arranged such that, upon application of a force to the rear portion of the disconnecting member (12), the disconnecting member (12) deforms so that the engagement features (34) are no longer in engagement with one another, thereby allowing the front portion of the disconnecting member (12) to move relative to the fluid transfer tip (6) and subsequently release the hub (14) from the friction fitting.Linvention concerne un dispositif de transfert de fluide, ou un connecteur pour un dispositif de transfert de fluide, comprenant un élément de corps (10) et un élément de déconnexion (12) ayant une partie avant et une partie arrière.
