Provided herein are methods and compositions for producing formulations systemic delivery of dopamine agonists via the oral inhalation route. Specifically, provided herein are methods and compositions for a stable solution formulation of rotigotine that is suitable for administration via oral inhalation. Such methods and compositions are useful in the treatment or amelioration of one or more Parkinsons disease symptom(s).
