PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter provided with a shaft having a small diameter while having a marker. SOLUTION: A catheter 1 is made of an inner layer 4, a wire reinforcing layer 5 covering the inner layer 4, an outer layer 6 formed radially outside the wire reinforcing layer 5, and a material having a lower X-ray transmittance than the outer layer 6. The marker 7 is covered with an outer layer 6 and includes the marker 7. The wire reinforcing layer 5 is composed of wire strands 5a arranged with a gap. The marker 7 includes a main body 7a in at least a part of a region central in the axial direction. At least a part of the main body portion 7a is arranged in the gap between the adjacent wire strands 5a, and is radially inside the outer surface of the wire reinforcing layer 5.
