The invention pertains to the use of therapeutically effective amounts of (i) one or more of uridine and cytidine, or salts, phosphates, acyl derivatives or esters thereof and(ii) at least one of docosahexaenoic acid (22:6 DHA), eicosapentaenoic acid (20:5 EPA) and docosapentaenoic acid (22:5 DPA), or esters thereof and (iii) vitamin C and/or selenium, optionally in combination with vitamin E, in the manufacture of a product for therapeutically preventing and/or slowing down brain atrophy in a human subject in need thereof.Linvention concerne lutilisation de quantités thérapeutiquement efficaces de (i) un ou plusieurs composés parmi luridine et la cytidine ou des sels, phosphates, dérivés acyliques ou esters de ceux-ci et (ii) au moins un acide parmi lacide docosahexaénoïque (22:6 DHA), lacide eicosapentaénoïque (20:5 EPA) et lacide docosapentaénoïque (22:5 DPA), ou des esters de ceux-ci et (iii) de la vitamine C et/ou du sélénium éventuellement en combinaison avec de la vitamine E, dans la fabrication dun produit destiné à prévenir et/ou ralentir au plan thérapeutique une atrophie cérébrale chez un sujet humain en ayant besoin.
