PURPOSE: Red ginseng with increased content of ginsenoside Rb1 and Rc using the proton beam irradiation is provided to offer improved blood flow improvement and sedation effects. CONSTITUTION: Red ginseng with increased content of ginsenoside Rb1 and Rc is obtained by irradiating 10kGy of proton beam of 33-38MeV to the red ginseng for changing the structure of the ginsenoside component. The red ginseng irradiated with the proton beam contains 4-7 times more increased ginsenoside Rb1 and Rc.본 발명은 홍삼에 양성자 빔을 조사시켜 홍삼 진세노사이드 성분 중 진세노사이드 Rb1 및 Rc의 함량을 증진시킨 홍삼에 관한 것이다. 더욱 상세하게는 홍삼에 33～38 MeV의 양성자 빔 10 kGy를 조사시켜 홍삼 내 각종 진세노사이드 성분의 구조를 변화시켜 자연산 홍삼에 비해 진세노사이드 Rb1 및 Rc의 함량을 증진시킨 혈류 개선 및 진정효과가 증진된 홍삼에 관한 것이다.
