PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve operation suitable for an electrical apparatus, by simply mounting a charged particle generating device, e.g., an ion generator, on the electrical apparatus.SOLUTION: Identification information about an electric apparatus is stored in the memory 45 of an air cleaner 1. When an ion generator 2 is mounted on the air cleaner 1, a main body control unit 42 transmits the identification information to the ion generator 2. A plurality of parameters for driving an ion emission device 36 under different drive conditions depending on various electrical apparatus are stored in the memory 46 of the ion generator 2. Upon receiving the identification information, the control unit 40 of the ion generator 2 selects control parameters based on the identification information, and sets control parameters corresponding to the air cleaner 1.
