A medical device according to an embodiment includes an acquisition unit, a plan generation unit, and a control unit. The acquisition unit acquires the first plan information based on the positional relationship between the medical device and the subject assumed when the plan information was created. The plan generation unit is included in the first plan information based on the difference between the positional relationship assumed when the planning information was created and the positional relationship between the medical device and the subject at the time of performing the treatment or diagnosis. By changing a part of the angle parameter, the second plan information that inherits a part of the instruction content for the medical device included in the first plan information is generated. The control unit gives an instruction to the medical device based on the second plan information generated by the plan generation unit.
